 Blueberries are an excellent source of vitamin C. This vitamin is water-soluble and acts as an antioxidant - helping cells cope with the damage caused by free radicals.

 Blueberry contains phenolic compounds, including flavonols, tannins, elagotanins, phenolic acids and especially anthocyanins. Blueberries have a higher anthocyanin content than fruits such as strawberry, cranberry, elderberry, raspberry and cherry.

Anthocyanins reduce inflammation and improve the condition of collagen-containing tissues such as cartilage and tendons.

According to experts, the usual daily intake of anthocyanin is approximately 200 mg. 100 g of blueberry fruits provide between 300 mg and 700 mg. anthocyanins depending on the variety of fruit, growing conditions and degree of maturity.

How to use:

to 400 ml. boiling water add 2-3 tbsp. of dried fruits. Boil on low heat for 6 minutes, then soak for 15 minutes. Strain and drink the drink within a day, and eat the fruit after straining.

The drink can be sweetened with a natural sweetener such as: Maple syrup, Erythritol and others. After heat treatment, the fruits can be eaten directly or added to smoothies and shakes.
